I'm a dad of quite a number of children, seven, in fact and they range in age from 30 down to ten years.

Being a good father, generally it means trying to be the best person that I can for my kids.

I love them dearly.

Being a dad is equally the hardest, but also the most rewarding role that I have.

And I want them to know that they're loved by me, that they're safe, that home is a place that they always have a place to go to, and that I've got their back and have their best interests at heart.

It's important for my kids to have a good dad because we play such a pivotal role in their lives.

I have lots of friends and they have kids, and all of them are great parents.

I also have friends who haven't had great parents.

It's only a small number of people, but the impact that it's had in their life has been quite significant.

And a couple of them really just haven't recovered from that.

And so I am far from perfect as a dad.

But it's really important that kids have someone who is consistent and a constant role in their life and can model love and good behaviour.

Being a good father makes my life better in so many ways.

It is truly the most rewarding role that I have.

My kids are funny, they're smart, they deeply enrich my life.

And it's true for me to say that they actually make me a better person.

I would not be the person that I am today if it wasn't for my kids.
